No Regrets

Throughout my life I’ve lived by a few different mottos:

If it’s too hot in the kitchen, take your jacket off.

Be the change you wish to see in the world.

Never eat Cheetos while you’re on your computer (yes, really. The list goes on).

But there is one motto that I always go back to: No regrets. There are very few people that live their lives without any regrets but if you’re like me, you try to live that way to the best of your ability.

“No regrets” means that you live your life without wondering “what if”. Not in a risky way (“What if I jump out of this plane without a parachute?”) but in an adventurous and brave way (“What if I pursue my dream of being an underwater basket weaver?”).

“No regrets” also means that you don’t regret the decisions that you have made. Sure, we all make bad decisions every once in a while but the important part of those bad decisions is to learn from them. Don’t regret them. They serve as learning experiences and they help shape and mold who we are and who we will be.

As long as you think about the decisions that you are making before you actually make them, then you should be just fine. Consider your values before you come to a result. Think it through first and you should end up living your life with little to no regrets.
